Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC. in Houston, TX, is hiring for a Project/Program Manager to lead transformer service projects from planning through completion.

You will oversee scope, schedules, resources, budgets, vendors, and customer communication, while coordinating engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. The role requires five+ years in project management for transformer services or heavy industrial equipment, a relevant degree, and proficiency with MS Project/Primavera P6.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field, or an associate degree with more than seven years of experience in the transformer or substation field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in project management with a focus on transformer services or heavy industrial equipment.
  • Experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Understanding of transformer technology, maintenance, and repair processes preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management software, including MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.

  • Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and provide regular updates to management.
  • Manage project budgets, approve expenditures, and support cost-effective project delivery.
  • Support post-project reviews and continuous improvement of project management processes and tools within the Services Division.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Pay transparency statement

For applicants in Colorado, the expected salary range for this position is $118,400.00 - $148,000.00 USD annually. Actual compensation may vary based on factors permitted by law, including location, education, experience, skills, and business considerations. This position is also eligible for the benefits and other compensation programs made available to eligible employees.
