Job summary

Long Wave Inc. in Oklahoma City seeks a Project Manager to independently manage small to mid-size projects with focus on cost, schedule, technical performance, and contract execution.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with 5–7 years of PM experience; PMP/DAWIA preferred, DoD acquisition familiarity, and active Secret clearance. On-site in OKC, 25% travel, full-time with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 5–7 years PM experience preferred.
  • PMP or DAWIA certification preferred.
  • Construction experience at least 1 year.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition processes.
  • U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance required.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage small to medium projects with cost, schedule and technical performance.
  • Regularly communicate with customers, subcontractors and cross-functional leadership.
  • Prepare and present internal and external briefs.
  • Perform EACs, PMRs and business forecasting reviews.
  • Collaborate with dispersed teams and management to ensure progress.
  • Travel on average 25% of the time.

Primary Function:

The LWI Towers, Installation, Maintenance, Services (TIMS) business unit is searching for a Project Manager to independently manage small/medium projects with responsibility for cost, schedule, technical performance, and contractual execution. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse customers, and collaborative/team settings across all levels and departments within LWI.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Operates with limited supervision and exercises independent judgment within established objectives. Accountablefor
  • Regularly communicates with customers, subcontractors, and cross-functional leadership. Influences project execution across teams.
  • Identifyandcorrectprogram problems; developsolutions tocorrect technical and/or financial issues;driveimproved /increased value for both ourcustomers and business
  • Prepare and present internal and external briefs
  • Perform regular program EACs, PMRs andbusiness forecastingreviews
  • Build and interface with multiple internal and geographically dispersed team members, ensuring consistent and effective communication.
  • Work closely with functional management to ensure skillsets are properlyidentified.
  • Execute internal reviews and executive briefingspertaining toall pursuits to include, Gate, Color Teams & Strategy Reviews.
  • Travel on average 25% of the time
Work Conditions:

Employeewill be working within an office environment and will be expected to travel on occasion to locations where specific PPE or attire is necessary.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5–7 years of experience. PMP, DAWIA Certification, or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in Project Management and leadingteams managing cost,scheduleand technical performance
  • Minimum of 1 year of construction experience.
  • Experience with theU.S.DoD acquisition processand organizations,
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issuedSecretsecurity clearance isrequiredprior to start date.U.S. citizenship isrequired, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Document and communicate project progress to all stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient user of MS Office and MS Project.
  • Risk identification, analysis, and management process.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Familiar with High Frequency Global Communication Systems (HFGCS).
  • Experience in installing and maintaining towers internationally.
  • Customer relationship management and satisfaction experience
  • Effective communication (oral and written)
  • Leadership and team-building abilities
  • Business acumen and strategic planning skills
  • Proven experience in senior management role(s)
  • Demonstrated ability leading and/or recovering large government programs
  • Customer-facing program leadership experience, with excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Program Management Certification certifications and EVMS
