We are seeking an experienced New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining Project Manager. This role is responsible for leading the engineering development, prototyping, and successful production release of new products, as well as supporting sustaining activities for existing platforms. You will own project schedules and budgets, coordinate cross‑functional engineering teams, and partner closely with Operations to ensure a seamless transition from development into manufacturing.

The Project Manager will be involved in all phases of the product lifecycle—working collaboratively with hardware, software, marketing, test, and manufacturing teams from early concept and specification through design reviews, validation, production ramp, and post‑release support.

The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering background, experience working with operations and external vendors, and the ability to solve technical challenges while driving projects to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate cross‑functional NPI teams through all phases of the product development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, software, marketing, test, and manufacturing teams from initial planning and high‑level requirements through detailed design and documentation reviews.
  • Define, develop, and manage project schedules and budgets for development, prototype, pilot, and production builds.
  • Oversee simulation, verification, and validation activities to ensure design quality and product readiness.
  • Participate in hardware bring‑up and testing, working with Test Engineering to develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
  • Serve as the primary engineering project liaison with Operations to ensure a smooth transition from development to production.
  • Provide regular project updates, status reports, and key deliverables to Operations and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with PLM buyers on material planning, sourcing, and procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop and execute factory readiness and production ramp plans.
  • Work with Supply Chain teams to develop and refine production cost estimates.
  • Support sustaining engineering activities, driving continuous improvement, issue resolution, and lifecycle management for released products.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven project management leadership with the ability to drive cross‑functional teams and complex technical programs to successful completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong documentation capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of structured product development lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOM) structures and release management processes.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), deviations, and related workflows.
  • General understanding of production build environments, including PCBA, cables, sheet metal, and related manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project (or equivalent) and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
