Job description

As an Electrical Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects, including all necessary preparation work. Your role will encompass project planning, coordination, budgeting, resource management, and ensuring the successful completion of construction projects while adhering to safety and quality standards. You will work closely with a team of professionals, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in project engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  2. 15 years of electrical experience in construction.
  3. Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction.
  4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
  5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  6. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  7. Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  8. Knowledge of relevant software and project management tools.
  9. Master Electrical License and NCCER certification required.
  10. OSHA certification and a commitment to safety.
  11. TWIC required.
  12. Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  13. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License with minimal infractions.
Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate project feasibility and develop project plans and timelines.
  2. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations.
  3. Prepare project budgets and cost estimates.
  4. Monitor project costs and expenditures throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
  5. Proficiently manage concrete slab and structure construction projects, including all preparatory work.
  6. Understand grade and subgrade work, elevational drawings, and specifications.
  7. Knowledge of equipment required for various tasks within the construction process.
  8. Familiarity with units of measure and the ability to perform take-offs from construction drawings.
  9. Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and records of materials used.
  10. Prepare and submit project status reports to clients and upper management.
  11. Identify and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet project needs.
  12. Procure necessary materials and equipment within budgetary constraints.
  13. Supervise onsite construction activities to ensure they are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project plans and specifications.
  14. Monitor and manage subcontractors, ensuring they meet project milestones and quality standards.
  15. Implement and enforce quality control and safety protocols.
  16. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any issues or deviations from plans.
  17. Identify and resolve construction-related issues and conflicts as they arise.
  18. Make informed decisions to keep the project on track and within budget.
  19. Maintain open and effective communication with all project stakeholders.
  20. Act as the point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.
Physical Demands

The job requires standing, walking, and climbing ladders or scaffolding for extended periods of time along with bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, carrying, or lifting material or equipment weighing up to 100 pounds. Additionally, the incumbent must have the ability to work in small, tight, and noisy areas.

The Project Manager works in and around on-site heavy construction/maintenance work site and is continually required to perform strenuous work activity under varying weather and environmental conditions.
