Job summary

Aramark Student Nutrition seeks a strategic financial professional to design proformas and operational models for new sales opportunities and key retention events. You will review RFPs/RFQs, coordinate on-site surveys, and collaborate with OpX-Food and local operators to tailor meal programs and labor structures for competitive bids.

You will enter program data into sales proformas to calculate bid price, client return, and Aramark profitability, supporting proposals and client presentations.

Qualifications

  • Previous operational/financial experience in K-12 foodservice market preferred.
  • College degree in business, foodservice management, or related field required.
  • Operational vision and a passion for standardized process and systems.
  • Strong computer skills including comfort with spreadsheets and modeling.
  • Ability to translate raw data, statistical and analytical results into clear written and verbal communication / information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as group presentation skills.
  • Strong organization and well-honed ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Must be able to travel approximately 20-30% of time, including new accounting opening support and both daily and overnight travel

Responsibilities

  • RFP/RFQ technical review: Document requirements, risks, and evaluation factors that must be responded to for a successful proposal; compare and contrast against existing program solutions and what may need to be developed.
  • Site Survey: Work with the DBD to coordinate the on-site survey teams so that the necessary data and information is collected.
  • Program design: Work in conjunction with OpX-Food and local operators to choose the meal programs, menu and food costs, and labor structure needed to create a responsive and competitive bid.
  • Financial Proforma: Enter the program and economic data points into the sales proforma spreadsheet to calculate bid price, client return, Aramark profitability and other necessary financial outcomes.
  • Proposal: as needed, assist the DBD with customizing the proposal to focus on content that best positions Aramark to win the opportunity.
  • Presentation: As an active member, technical advisor or content provider, assist with the preparation for client presentations, and participate as a presenter if needed.
  • Training and New Account Mobilizations: Assists with needs assessment and coordination of resources required to successfully open new accounts. This includes on-site training, system implementation, or other areas, as requested by region management, and requires travel of 40-60% during the summer account opening period.
  • Foster support and relationships by developing a strong level of trust and credibility with all stakeholders and clients.
  • Be open to feedback and support identifying new ways to analyze data, employ benchmarking, and focus on quality assurance to continually improve results.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional work environment by consistently supporting teammates, assuming the best intentions and best outcomes, and always fostering creativity and good ideas.

For a given geography or assignment and working in collaboration with all functional groups, the position is responsible for designing the financial proformas and operational models for new sales opportunities and key retention events.
