Job summary

RK&K is seeking a talented Project Manager in Structural Engineering to lead a portfolio of transportation-related structural projects in King of Prussia, PA. You will oversee concept through construction documents, manage client relationships, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10+ years of bridge design experience, DOT project exposure, and a track record of mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Ten or more years of bridge design experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

Responsibilities

• Lead a variety of structure projects from conceptual to contract documents.
• Coordinate internal and client meetings and present plans.
• Direct project staff and sub-consultants.
• Serve as liaison between client and firm.
• Ensure QA/QC for design work and mentor junior staff.

Description

RK&K is seeking a talented Project Manager in Structural Engineering to join our growing team. With an expanding portfolio of exciting projects and new opportunities across our portfolio, now is a great time to be part of our dynamic and forward-moving firm.

As a member of our Structures team, you will focus on leading a variety of dynamic structural pursuits and projects as it relates to transportation and participating in projects across the local state and RK&K’s overall service area. You should have DOT experience, be highly proactive, able to develop creative technical solutions, have a strong understanding of structural operations and hands‑on experience withbridge designand field operations.

Essential Functions

• Provide structural expertise on all project aspects associated withconceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents forconstructionfollowed byconstructionadministration with respect to the structural aspects of the project
• Serve as Project Manager on a variety of structure related projects
• Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans
• Direct project staff and sub-consultants
• Serve as liaison between client and firm
• Execute QA/QC for completeness and accuracy ofdesignwork
• Provide engineering judgment and initiative within theStructural Engineeringfield
• Train, and mentor entry level and junior level structural engineers
• Participate in Business Development and Marketing to secure future clients and workload

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s in Civil orStructural Engineering
• Ten (10) or more years ofbridge designexperience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
