Job summary

Walter P Moore is seeking a Project Manager to lead structural engineering projects in the Downtown Houston environment and coordinate with clients nationwide and internationally.

The ideal candidate will have 8–12 years of experience in commercial building design, a Master's in Civil Engineering (Structural), and a Texas P.E. license or the ability to obtain licensure within six months. A proactive, client-focused professional will thrive in our hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

Project Manager responsibilities include leading structural engineering projects in the firm’s Downtown Houston office environment and collaborating with clients nationwide and internationally. The qualified candidate will have at least 8–12 years of relevant experience in the design of office buildings, healthcare facilities, sports venues, and other large commercial structures with construction costs of $25 million and up. Project management experience is required.

The candidate should be self-motivated, maintain a high energy level, and work effectively within a strong team. Technical specialization, proactive communication, and responsiveness to client and project needs are valued, as are a strong customer-service orientation and a readiness to serve clients such as architects, developers, institutions, and contractors.

As a Hybrid Firm, Walter P Moore blends in-office and home-office work options to offer flexibility and work-life integration. Applicants should be able to commute to or periodically travel to the affiliated office. A one-time $1,000 home office setup stipend is provided after the first week of employment, with an additional $50 monthly stipend for ongoing home office expenses.
