SSC Services for Education, a nationwide best-in-class facility service provider and member of Compass Group, North America, seeks a Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives to lead enterprise-wide programs and drive meaningful change. The role focuses on operational readiness, go-lives, and large-scale process or technology initiatives to deliver tangible business value.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience managing enterprise projects, including large-scale change
• Ability to define and execute change strategies
• Proven ability to influence and manage resources in a highly matrixed environment
• Strong leadership to motivate and lead cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to address competing priorities within a single project with a can-do attitude
• Proven business analytical capabilities to solve complex issues
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PM tools like Smartsheet/Microsoft Projects

• Define and execute project scope, goals and deliverables that support business needs
• Build project teams (directly and indirectly) and coordinate members to maximize productivity
• Implement and maintain project plans to support goals
• Communicate progress, risks, and escalations to all levels and departments
• Collaborate with stakeholders including senior executives, sponsors, and business owners
• Create and maintain project documentation (status reports, work plans, analyses)
• Adapt approach and PM methodology to ensure project success
• Identify opportunities for improvement and drive organizational change
• Travel as needed (less than 25%)

Job Summary

ThisProject Manager, Strategic Initiativesposition offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure leading impactful enterprise-wide business initiatives within SSC. This individual would be part of the Strategic Initiatives team comprising of two primary focuses:

• Operational Support: Supports new business operational readiness and go-lives or account closure activities.
• Continuous Improvement: Supports improvement strategies related to process, technology, or large-scale change management initiatives.

Each project is carefully selected to achieve a significant return for the company and adds value to the growth of SSC. A successful candidate will own the life cycle of key projects, and drive necessary change throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute project scope, goals and deliverables that support business needs
• Build project teams (directly and indirectly) and actively coordinate team members to maximize productivity and project velocities
• Implement and maintain project plans as required to support project goals
• Communicate progress, risks, and escalations appropriately at all levels of the organization and/or multiple departments
• Collaborate and build relationships with all stakeholders - including senior executives, sponsors, business owners, and field operations
• Create and maintain all project documentation pertinent to the project, including but not limited to, status reports, work plans, presentations, analysis, facilitation events
• Adapt approach and project management methodology as needed to ensure project success
• Identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate change, within a project, or within the overall organization
• Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Travel as needed (less than 25%)

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience managing enterprise projects, particularly those involving a organization or full business unit change
• Proven ability to define and execute change strategies
• Proven ability to influence and manage internal and external resources in a highly matrix’ d environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams
• Proven ability address competing priorities within a single project with a positive, can-do attitude
• Proven business analytical capabilities to solve complex business issues
• Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills needed to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Project Management solutions (Smartsheet, Microsoft Projects)
