Job description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The role of the Project Manager exists to lead planning and execution of all new store opening, remodels, and capital improvement projects for the NAM Retail Market. They will work closely with all internal and external work-streams to build a plan, set and manage expectations, and ensure deliverables are on track, on time, on budget, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities / Authorities:

Ensures on-time, on-budget, and to-quality delivery of complex cross-functional projects while ensuring that all milestones and governance are adhered to during planning, execution, and close-out.

Partners with Store Development Managers to understand Project Pipeline and translate into high-level project schedules. Works with cross-functional teams to help plan all project work into day-to-day activities, while understanding high-level considerations, in accordance with overall Retail Strategy.

Supports end-to-end planning, collaborating with required workstreams to create appropriate work-back schedules, budgets, and scopes of work based on retail strategy and framework.

Manages all project plans, tracking progress and timelines on a weekly basis. Adjusts schedules and plans as needed, identifying risks to timelines and budgets. Partners with key stakeholders to establish mitigating tactics as required.

Creates and manages communications process for all projects, ensuring updates are shared with applicable stakeholders as required, including retail back-office partners and senior management as required.

Acts as primary touchpoint for all work-streams related to project activities. Establishes and maintains trusted advisor relationships with project stakeholders by providing clear direction, communication and managing expectations accurately and honestly.

Administers budgets and tracks budget health and project resources. Formally communicates risks and outcomes, partnering with the Finance and Senior Leadership as required to resolve risks.

Facilitates project status and review sessions, communicating revisions as required.

Critically evaluates each project after completion and implements best practices and drives improvements.

Provides leadership, support and assistance to all team members as required.

Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of adidas brand store concepts, scheduling, budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures.

Strong team player with proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals and objectives.

Strong influencing and communications skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of business.

Ability to lead a team through while under tight deadlines.

Ability to organize resources and establish priorities

Expert knowledge Smartsheet and MS office skills, with specific emphasis on PowerPoint and MS Excel

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree from a college or university, or a combination of education with equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience project management, product, or cross-functional leadership

Minimum of 3 years of Retail experience.
