Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience managing State Government projects and an active PMP certification. The ideal candidate will lead the successful delivery of complex IT or business transformation initiatives for state agencies, ensuring compliance with government standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee all phases of project lifecycles for State Government contracts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and internal teams.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
• Ensure compliance with state-specific frameworks, procurement policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Track deliverables and project milestones, reporting progress to stakeholders through regular updates and documentation.
• Lead cross-functional teams, assign tasks, manage resources, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Facilitate project meetings, including kick-offs, status reviews, and post-mortems.
• Manage change control and issue resolution processes effectively.
• Use project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Active PMP certification from PMI.
• 5+ years of project management experience, specifically with State Government agencies (e.g., Health & Human Services, Transportation, Labor).
• Strong understanding of state RFP processes, deliverables, and stakeholder management.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and meet strict compliance/reporting standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
