Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead multiple projects with a global perspective, balancing business and technical needs. The role emphasizes coaching teams, defining scope, and managing risk, cost, and quality across delivery streams.

Ideal candidates will have a BA/BS, 5+ years in project management, and healthcare experience, including PBM implementation exposure. This is a fully remote position with a hybrid workplace policy and location proximity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and develop management plans for resources, risk, cost and quality.
• Coordinate requirements, schedules, implementation and post-implementation plans; establish SLAs with vendors and global firms.
• Define quality gates and critical success factors; manage the project warranty period.

Manage multiple projects of varying sizes and duration including large projects from a global perspective that incorporates both the business and technical aspects of the project.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems.
• In addition to all responsibilities of a project manager this position coaches and mentors project team members.
• Mentors other project managers
• Determines project scope
• Develops resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans
• Develops training plans
• Develops project approval matrix
• Identifies project team training and tool needs
• Defines, recommends and secures contractual agreements for services and products
• Coordinates requirements, schedules implementation and post-implement plans, and develops service-level agreements for vendor partners and global resources firms
• Defines quality gates for each project methodology phase
• Defines critical success factors; and establishes and manages the project warranty period.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Requirements:

• Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 5 years professional project management experience required during which at least 3 years are spent leading and directing project tasks; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Must have health care experience, good time management, ability to multi task, have clear communications (written and verbal).
• For 1 role, they MUST have PBM Implementation experience; not just worked in a PBM environment but actual implementations
• M-F 8am-5pm
• 100% remote
• Candidates must live within 50 miles of an Elevance Health PulsePoint.
• Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
