About the role

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for managing, directing and overseeing the operations and administration of assigned projects and programs. The Sr. PM provides visible leadership, accountability and authority over high profile projects and programs delivered to Insight clients or internal leadership. The Sr. PM works independently and exhibits a high degree of initiative in resolving problems encountered and developing recommended solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Devotes 90% of time to leading and managing projects and programs; 10% of time to business development.
  • Act as a visible, accountable leader who oversees the successful delivery of Insight projects and programs for clients and helps develop new opportunities for future business.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to drive best practices, standards, and methodology across regional practices.
  • Ensure the change management process is utilized to maintain profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead projects relative to milestone completion while managing resources and financial budgets.
  • Develop and implement complete project schedules to ensure required dates are met.
  • Monitor and maintain client and internal project executive satisfaction through weekly or monthly status meetings.

What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • 10 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the IT services, IT Operations or professional services industry
  • PMP certification required within 6 months of placement in PM role
  • Active PMI membership desirable
  • Ability to generate and manage detailed project plans
  • Ability to manage technical resources working on multiple projects seamlessly
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong customer relationship management skills and ability to interface with sales staff
