Position Overview

The SIRO Project Management Office at Penn State seeks a Project Manager to support federal and nonfederal grants. SIRO is part of the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research, aiming to foster high-quality research and creative work across the university.

Responsibilities
  • Manage lifecycle of research projects, including proposal development, award management, reporting, and close-out
  • Lead project teams across various colleges, departments, and external partners
  • Coordinate budgets, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with sponsor and university guidelines
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders and oversee project documentation and reporting
Work Arrangement and Requirements

Remote work within the US; standard hours in EST. Proficiency in MS Office and Excel required; experience with collaborative tools a plus. Prior project management experience in research, especially with DoD and foundation grants, is highly desirable.

Minimum education and experience vary by level: Bachelor's + 1+ years or 3+ years relevant experience. No certifications required.

Additional Information

Employment requires background checks. Salary range: $61,800 - $115,100. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and tuition discount.
