The University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI invites applications for the role of Manager, Projects I (Small Projects). The position leads project management for construction, renovation and deferred maintenance, coordinating with the Office of Capital Program Design & Delivery – Small Projects and campus partners.

A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of design/PM experience are required. Hybrid work is eligible; salary ranges from $80,000 to $86,000 with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in design, project management, and construction administration.
• Knowledge of building code requirements and standard construction details.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in written communication.
• Experience developing and analyzing data and writing reports.
• Supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to work with diverse groups/populations.

Responsabilités

• Manage and coordinate personnel to develop design and spatial efficiencies within existing building systems.
• Coordinate work with consultants and contractors for small projects.
• Develop programs with committees to meet Capital Program goals.
• Manage, inspect and document construction, renovation and deferred maintenance projects.
• Manage design and construction contracts.
• Conduct field inspections and surveys of campus grounds to document conditions.
• Determine necessary repairs and upgrades for efficient operation.
• Develop and complete budgets, schedules, permits and reports.
• Perform regulatory reviews to ensure university compliance.
• Perform other duties as required.
