Greater Giving, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager Senior (Non-Technical) to coordinate day-to-day project deliverables, financials, and communications across cross-functional teams.

You will lead initiation, planning, and execution for complex programs, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and stakeholder alignment. The role emphasizes interaction with technical delivery teams and executive stakeholders, with hybrid work 2–3 days in our Cincinnati, Ohio location.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in business, management, computer science, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines (e.g., PMBOK).
  • Demonstrated skill in managing project budgets and timelines, with the ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance, and maintain morale.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and presentation, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent negotiation, analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, project management, and time-keeping software, e.g., MS Project, MS Office, Visio, Salesforce, ClickTime, Workday, and SharePoint.
  • PMP certification is a bonus and knowledge of the financial services industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and coordinates all aspects of projects from project initiation through delivery.
  • Manages project initiation activities including identifying contractual obligations, client or business needs and goals, existing situation and necessary contacts.
  • Ensures requirements for internal projects align to operational standards; documents exceptions as appropriate.
  • Develops, defines and executes project plans, scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables according to PM standards.
  • Identifies needed resources for projects and assigns major project roles.
  • Coordinates activities among project team members and other departments to meet goals and ensure on-schedule, on-budget delivery with quality.
  • Monitors and guides project progress, risks, issues, and resolutions; assists with risk mitigation as needed.
  • May oversee vendor/subcontractor tasks and review deliverables when applicable.
  • Serves as liaison between internal and client/vendor organizations to ensure targets are met.
  • Delivers presentations to business groups and clients; conducts post-implementation reviews for continuous improvement.
  • Identifies gaps in coordination and recommends improvements.
  • Some travel may be required.

The Project Management team is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day project deliverables, financials, and communications. We manage client projects and teams with the utmost professionalism and integrity

This will be responsible for all aspects of assigned projects and large-scale programs. Projects may be focused on new product launch, portfolio migrations, marketing, sales, finance/accounting, business planning, business operations, customer service, or other subjects. The role involves extensive interactions with cross-functional teams of various functional areas of the business including interaction and coordination with technical delivery teams and executive stakeholders.

What you will Own

Plans and coordinates all aspects of projects from project initiation through delivery.

Manages project initiation activities including identifying contractual obligations, client or business needs and goals, existing situation and necessary contacts.

Ensures requirements for internal projects align to operational standards. Develop alternate requirements or document exceptions as appropriate.

Develops, defines and executes project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables according to project management guidelines.

Identifies needed resources for projects, defines and assigns major project roles.

Coordinates activities and tasks among project team members, other internal departments and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet project goals and ensure project completion is on schedule, within budget constraints, and of the appropriate quality standards for the project scope.

Assigns and monitors work of project team, providing analytical support and direction.

Manages project risks, issues/problems and activity progress to ensure project goals, e.g., deadline, scope and quality are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.

May manage the integration of vendor/subcontractor tasks and track and review vendor/subcontractor deliverables, if appropriate for the project.

Serves as liaison between internal organizations as well as in client and vendor/subcontractor organizations to ensure all project targets and requirements are met.

Delivers informational and decision‑seeking presentations to business groups in Worldpay and/or in client organizations.

Conducts project closure activities to formalize and communicate the project acceptance, handover documentation and ongoing activities to accountable teams and complete a post‑implementation review to identify areas of improvement.

May directly oversee employees assigned to manage specific project that have a distinct beginning and end. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Identifies project management coordination gaps or areas for improvement and recommends and implements solutions.

Some travel may be required.

Where you will own it: This role will be a hybrid working environment (2-3 days in office at our Cincinnati, Ohio location)

What you Bring:

A bachelor's degree in business, management, computer science, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines. e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)

Demonstrated skill in managing project budgets and timelines with the ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build high morale among team members.

Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and presentation, both internally and externally

Excellent negotiation, analysis, problem‑solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature.

It's a bonus if you have:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Knowledge or experience in the financial services industry

Knowledge of Worldpay products and services

Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry, e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma, etc.
