Purpose of Position:

The Project Manager - Safety Upgrade is responsible for leading a strategic initiative to drive customer adoption and maximize market share of our latest safety solutions. This role will ensure the successful transition of existing customers from legacy systems to modern systems, managing a prioritized schedule of account upgrades, tracking feature release timelines, and overseeing quality and issue resolution for the new system. With a focus on achieving high adoption and satisfaction rates, this role will work cross-functionally to align product, sales, and customer support teams, delivering a seamless upgrade experience for our customers.

  • Plan, deliver, and track projects using Hexagon methodology to meet project milestones.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplined internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are deployed on time and meet requirements.
  • Monitor costs, times, quality and resources used; take action where these exceed agreed tolerances.
  • Agree on project approach with stakeholders and prepare realistic project plans (including scope, schedule, quality, risk, and communication plans). Track activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
  • Develop and implement an upgrade program focused on migrating customers from legacy safety solutions to modern, upgraded safety systems.
  • Manage a prioritized account schedule for upgrades, aligning with growth targets and market needs.
  • Collaborate with product teams to track and communicate release schedules, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and readiness for new features.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for upgrade success, customer satisfaction, and adoption rates.
  • Support the sales team in navigating the upgrade cycle for priority accounts, providing resources and tracking progress against upgrade targets.
  • Work with sales and customer success teams to proactively address customer concerns, ensuring a smooth transition for safety upgrades.
  • Monitor customer adoption of safety product upgrades, identifying trends, tracking usage metrics, and gathering feedback to support ongoing product improvements.
  • Act as the central point of contact for safety product upgrade initiatives, ensuring alignment between product, sales, support, and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer success teams to develop targeted resources and training materials that support the upgrade experience.

This role will only be successful if they are able to coordinate across a variety of stakeholders to manage expectations, drive transparency and alignment, and facilitate decision making. The primary people this role will work with are Executive Leadership, Product Leadership, Commercial Leadership, and Engineering and Product Development.

Knowledge and Experience - Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, product management, or sales enablement, ideally within technology (SaaS) or industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing complex upgrade or adoption programs, with experience in feature release coordination and product adoption tracking.
  • Strong familiarity with product lifecycle management and working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Salesforce, Asana, Atlassian).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and effectively communicate with customers.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to driving successful program outcomes.
Knowledge and Experience - Preferred:
  • Experience in the mining industry and with mining safety systems.
  • CAPM or PMP Certification.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Methodologies.
  • Experience managing towards or meeting a sales quota or target.
