Job summary

Burgess & Niple in Ohio is seeking a Project Manager / Roadway Engineer to lead transportation initiatives for ODOT and local agencies, leveraging established partnerships and building new ones across the state.

The role emphasizes quality, design reviews, and adherence to standards while managing scope, schedule and budget. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to client engagement and strategic pursuits with state and local agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• PE registration is required.
• 8+ years of related civil transportation experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading roadway design tasks or leading as roadway design lead.
• Familiarity with proposal development and client relationship management; existing relationships with ODOT or local agencies a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Bentley OpenRoads and/or Autodesk Civil 3D is a plus.

• Familiarity with proposal development and client relationship management efforts. Existing relationships with ODOT or Ohio local agencies a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience using Bentley OpenRoads and/or Autodesk Civil 3D a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed, adaptable professional with the ability to effectively utilize virtual collaboration platforms
