A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT MANAGER

As a Project Manager, you play a key role in understanding, evaluating, developing, and executing scopes of work and the overall management of projects to ensure success, efficiency, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities include soliciting and approving proposals from subcontractors, preparing project schedules, supporting crews, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

You will monitor project budgets, profit margins, and schedules, acting promptly to address issues. You will serve as a liaison between leadership, clients, subcontractors, and in-house personnel, fostering effective communication. Managing scopes of work, reviewing change orders, and ensuring accurate billing are also key aspects of your role. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to professional growth, supported by First Onsite.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years restoration/construction industry experience
• Basic industry training and seven current certifications
• Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Ability to read and understand Xactimate scopes and blueprints/architectural plans
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes
• Experience with construction drawings, specifications, and take-offs
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license required

Special Position Requirements

• Ability to work under stress in a busy, service-oriented team
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and respond 24/7
• Potential site visits near hazardous environments; travel may be required
