This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours.

Position Overview

The Project Manager Release Operations plays a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of release processes, effective communication, and training initiatives. This individual is responsible for ensuring that process maps are followed, frontline service teams are fully prepared for upcoming changes, and both internal and external stakeholders, including clients, are ready for operational transitions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and excels in coordinating cross‑functional teams to drive successful change adoption and client satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities
Release Execution & Coordination
  • Ensure that defined process maps are followed and executed effectively.
  • Collaborate with Product & Technology and Operations teams to manage release activities.
  • Track and report on release readiness, execution progress, and post‑release outcomes.
  • Identify and escalation risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies that may impact release success.
Operational & Client Readiness
  • Assess the impact of upcoming releases on frontline teams and ensure they are equipped for change.
  • Ensure clients are informed, trained, and prepared for upcoming system/process updates.
  • Partner with Implementation, Client Services, and all other supporting teams in Operations to assess and address client needs.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts, gathering feedback from both internal teams and clients.
  • Assist in developing client‑facing readiness materials, including FAQs, guides, webinars, and training sessions.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non‑technical teams, ensuring a seamless transition for clients.
Communication & Training
  • Develop and distribute clear, concise communications regarding upcoming changes to both internal teams and clients.
  • Partner with Training teams to create and deliver necessary training materials and sessions for internal and external audiences.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date release documentation, FAQs, and support guides for both employees and clients.
  • Conduct post‑release evaluations to identify areas of improvement and refine future processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 years experience in change management or equivalent experience leading cross‑functional projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust across teams.
  • Self‑starter mentality with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
  • Curiosity and adaptability, with a willingness to solicit feedback and address challenges when solutions are not immediately known.
  • Ability to document detailed observations, risks, and concerns, and translate them into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional stakeholders including Sales, Implementation, Client Services, GTM, Tax Operations, and Tech Operations teams.
  • Ability to engage and drive conversations with Sales, Operations, and Product teams regarding operational readiness.
  • Knowledge of internal client service experiences.
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to summarize work performed and next steps with clarity.
  • Focus on relationship building and expanding personal network and knowledge base.
  • Highly accountable and autonomous; ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven ability to analyze and solve complex operational problems using data‑driven approaches.
  • Understanding of project management concepts, release management, and agile methodology.
  • Knowledge of product development processes, customer experience, and internal operations (including Client Services and Implementation teams).
Pay Information

The pay range for this position is $54,500 - $112,500/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
