The Job

Position supports the Star Clinical Quality Team, Network Quality and HealthCare Informatics in activities related to project management, quality improvement, and measure performance reporting.

You Will

  1. Gather, compile, research, and report information. Prepare clear and concise presentations for committee, department and workgroup meetings.
  2. Interpret data and information around various project reports. Collaborate with workgroup/program sponsors to design and evaluate the effectiveness of quality initiative programs.
  3. Working independently, manage and lead multiple, complex projects related to Star Quality interventions and programs. Gain an understanding of the business needs and develop a project approach to achieve desired outcomes. Plan, budget, monitor and report the status of projects. Establish project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools. Identify project barriers and troubleshoot issues. Manage resources as needed.
  4. Identify opportunities and make recommendations related to Star Quality interventions and programs (HEDIS gaps in care, pharmacy, transitions of care, care coordination and member experience).
  5. Lead and manage project meetings with a focus on ongoing Star Quality program or clinical quality improvement. Communicate effectively and provide a liaison role between project/program sponsors, executive team and project teams at all levels in the company.
  6. Demonstrate leadership and vision; understand the big picture and how programs/projects fit into the larger workgroup strategy and improve quality performance within our network of providers.

Your Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  2. PMP preferred
  3. 3+ years’ experience in Health Care / Managed Care or related field required.
  4. 3+ years’ experience in Project Management required. 5+ years’ experience in Project Management preferred.
  5. Leadership - Skilled to develop others
  6. Problem Solving - Good problem-solving skills
  7. Communication - Good communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Demonstrated flexibility, ability to multi-task and facilitate cross-functional teams.
  9. Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  10. Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
  11. Strong interpersonal skills.
  12. Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to express ideas in a clear and organized manner.
  13. Strong organizational and time management skills to efficiently handle multiple projects with changing priorities.
  14. Advanced/expert skills with MS Project. Familiar with Visio.
