TPA technologies is seeking a Project Manager – Product & Strategy to lead end-to-end initiatives for data center operations, including BMS, security, and operations platforms. You will drive project execution from planning through closeout, coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors while ensuring on-budget delivery.

The role requires 7+ years in data center project management, hands-on budgeting and procurement, and strong knowledge of MEP systems.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project management experience in data center or mission-critical construction environments, preferably on the owner/operator side.
  • Hands-on experience managing project budgets and vendor procurement, including sourcing and purchasing activities.
  • Working knowledge of data center MEP systems like switchgear, UPS, generators, cooling, BMS, and security equipment.
  • Proficiency with Excel and project management tools like Smartsheet.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage cross-functional responsibilities.
  • PMP certification (nice-to-have).

Overview

In this role, you will oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring successful delivery within budget and schedule. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors, manage project budgets, and facilitate smooth project closeout. Your insights will help shape the infrastructure that powers critical data services, making a tangible difference in the technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage holistic project budgets, forecasts, and variances; provide transparent reporting and control changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate procurement activities for hardware and software vendors, including obtaining quotes, managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and reconciling invoices.
  • Lead project commissioning and closeout activities, ensuring seamless transitions from construction to operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Construction, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to align schedules, handle submittals, and coordinate long-lead equipment procurement and commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain project controls such as schedules, milestones, RAID logs, and status reports for effective oversight and communication.
  • Support project readiness and turnover, managing punch-list resolutions, and ensuring smooth project completion.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 7+ years of project management experience in data center or mission-critical construction environments, preferably on the owner/operator side.
