Project Manager - Product

The Project Manager is a role within the Product Organization that works across departments, Centers of Excellence/functional areas and Business Units to successfully manage the launch of new and enhanced products or other projects as needed. The role is responsible for managing the project, process and success and overseeing the product design, development, distribution training and market launch, implementation and operational readiness. In this role you will partner with a cross functional team, including Marketing, Go-to-Market Effectiveness, Product, R&D, Operations, Implementations, Finance and other organizations to plan, organize and execute project plans for product launches.

The Project Manager will track all milestones and operational readiness from initial Product Steering Committee approval to General Availability, as well as post launch performance tracking. S/he will be the point of contact for the day to day activities facilitating weekly product launch status meetings with internal teams and additional deep dives into functional areas as needed. The Product Launch Manager will routinely create project plans, status decks and executive updates.

The Project Manager will also be responsible for assessing, implementing, and training on product launch tools to manage and report out on product launches.

Responsibilities
  • Track and ensure product launches move through the product launch phases and meets gates and timing for each phase, with appropriate approvals as applicable.
  • Ensure all internal teams needed to support the new product are identified, needs and dependencies are documented, and the project is tracked to completion, including formal post-launch monitoring.
  • Manage product build and internal functional work that cross legacy boundaries, which include timelines, coordination, change management, and understanding risks and dependencies between product program and deliverables.
  • Facilitate weekly status meetings, meeting minutes, status reports, and project plans to support launches.
  • Identify any potential risks with launch team and mitigate/escalate as needed.
  • Effectively communicate in cross-departmental or cross-functional situations. Able to conduct peer training within the department.
  • See emerging patterns and opportunities, adapting quickly and easily to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected events.
  • Facilitate and communicate change across the team or organization to drive adoption.
  • Set clear priorities, take action, stay focused, and overcome barriers to deliver expected results.
  • Evaluate critical information needed to understand problems, determine probable causes, and develop workable solutions. Accurately assess the costs, benefits, and risks associated with alternative courses of action and make high quality and timely decisions.
  • Ability to manage development of the project plan and manage issues and risks by facilitating mitigation and contingency planning with key stakeholders.
  • Apply project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to execute projects effectively and efficiently in alignment with organizational competencies and strategic business goals. May manage vendors as part of project team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of project management experience required.
  • Experience in product development or project management in healthcare is preferred but not required.
  • Yellow belt Six Sigma or other Quality program training.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent).
  • Experience with managing cross functional projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build consensus and develop solid relationships.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Problem solver who identifies better ways to meet customer needs.

  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.

Base compensation ranges from $135,000 to $180,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
