Job summary

Aligned Data Centers is seeking a Project Manager, Procurement to lead the OFE supply chain across multiple construction projects. You will coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery, cost control, and proper documentation for commissioning.

The role requires strong problem solving, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent (degree or experience).
  • 5 years’ experience in project management (manufacturing, data center, and/or construction).
  • Supply chain management experience with data centers and/or manufacturing.
  • Direct experience managing multi-state operations and multi-million-dollar equipment contracts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Procore, Helix, databases, finance systems, Google Suite.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; able to multi-task with time management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct all project activities related to OFE.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure production plans support projects.
  • Assist in managing project budgets according to controls and processes.
  • Setup, track, and communicate project costs, schedules, and documentation.
  • Own administrative duties for project finances: RFPs, change orders, POs, SOVs, forecasts, cost codes, invoices.
  • Rationalize OFE schedules within the overall construction schedule.
  • Manage documentation across Procore, SharePoint, or similar systems.
  • Engage with commissioning partners to drive best processes and turnover plans.
  • Foster positive relationships with OFE vendors, construction teams, contractors, finance, and engineering.
  • Collaborate within procurement to drive efficiency while meeting customer needs.

SUMMARY: TheProject Manager, Procurementworks with internal and external partners to manage all aspects oftheowner-furnished equipment (OFE)supply chain relating tomultipleconstruction projects, frominceptionto completion of commissioning.This positionrequires excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to work successfully in a teamenvironmentunder limited supervision. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (to include, but notlimited to):

  • Oversee and direct all project activitiesrelated to OFE.

  • Manage and supportvendor relationships, ensuring the manufacturing production plans support the individual projects as well as the overall program.

  • Assistin the managementof project budgets according to project controls and processes, working within Aligned cost tracking system.

  • Setup, manage, track, and communicateprojectcosts, schedules, and documentation.

  • Own andmaintainall administrative duties associated withproject financials,to includebut not limitedto:requests forproposals,changeorders,requests for POs, SOVs,forecasts,cost codes,and invoice reconciliation.

  • Rationalizeand manageOFE schedules within theoverallconstruction schedule, and work between theconstruction/contractor teams and the supply chain partners to findthebest solutions to balance all schedule needs.

  • Manage all associated documentation (submittals,comments,etc) by downloading/uploading across designatedsystems (such as Procore, SharePoint, or similar).

  • Engage withcommissioning partners to drive best processesand communicationto support turnover plans.

  • Foster positive relationships with allinternal and external partners, includingOFEvendors, construction teams, contractors,finance/accounting, andengineering.

  • Collaboratewithintheprocurement team to drive efficiency in processes whilemaintainingcustomer needs.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree inBusiness,Engineering,or equivalent(degree or experience).

  • 5 years’ experience inprojectmanagement(manufacturing, data center, and/or construction).

  • Supplychainmanagement experience withindatacentersand/or manufacturing.

  • Direct experience managing multi-state operations and multi-million-dollar equipment contracts.

  • Highproficiencywith computers and industry systems and programs, including but not limited to:MicrosoftOffice products(especiallyExcel), Construction programs (such as Procore, Helix,etc), database systems, financial systems, Google Suite, internet research, scheduling programs,etc.

  • Superbwritten,verbal, and interpersonalcommunication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, with strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Desire to work in an extremely fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

  • Must have a strong attention to detail.

  • Ability tomaintaindiscretion and confidentiality.

  • Ability to travel 25%+ of the time.

Additionaldesired skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of construction/procurement cost estimating methods and development of scopes of work.

  • Ability to interpret critical facility construction drawings and specifications.

  • Ability to understand construction and procurement project scopes.

  • Able tomonitorandinterpret design and schedule changesand forecast their impact on overall project costs.

  • Awareness and experience with commodity management, raw materials,and production planning.

  • Experience with data center commissioning.
