Job summary

CORE Transformers in Seneca, SC is seeking a Project Manager to guide electrical transformer projects from pre-sales through manufacturing, testing, delivery and closeout.

You will own schedules and budgets, build strong customer relationships, coordinate across Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Finance, and proactively manage risks and changes to keep customers informed and projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field.
• Five or more years leading projects/programs in manufacturing or engineered-to-order environments.
• Strong leadership, organization, and customer-relations skills.
• Knowledge of ERP/CRM workflows and manufacturing processes.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Own project delivery: manage schedules, scope, budgets, and milestones to meet customer expectations.
• Build strong customer relationships and serve as primary contact, providing updates and resolving escalations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance for smooth handoffs.
• Manage submittals, manufacturing drawings, revisions, and change orders through project lifecycle.
• Identify risks, track costs and profitability, and manage scope changes with discipline.
• Improve project plans, reporting, and processes to reduce delays and improve delivery predictability.

In this role, you’ll guide electrical transformer projects from pre-sales coordination through manufacturing, testing, delivery, and closeout—bringing teams together, anticipating challenges, and keeping customers informed every step of the way.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Five or more years of project, program, or operations leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, electrical products, or an engineered-to-order environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field; PMP certification or an MBA is a plus.
• A track record of managing complex projects with multiple units, extended timelines, and firm deadlines.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and customer relationship skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
• Working knowledge of ERP/CRM workflows, supply chain fundamentals, and manufacturing processes.
• A hands-on approach and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, growing business.
• Availability for occasional travel of less than 10%.
