Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction, industrial and municipal projects in New Jersey. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and Excel skills.

You will coordinate administration, scheduling, field operations, and cost tracking, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining QA/QC and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing CIPP, manhole coatings and other trenchless rehabilitation construction.
• Ability to travel for long and short-term projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Customer and Operations on project execution.
• Manage cost tracking and revenue forecasting for the project.
• Schedule/coordinate with contractor schedules and field operations.
• Pre-planning, resource forecasting and inventory management.
• Attend planning meetings and site walks; ensure QA/QC and safety standards.
• Review/approve invoices and project documentation.

The Project Manager oversees all aspects of construction, industrial and municipal projects. Applicant must have strong communication skills with prior management and construction experience or be a recent engineering graduate. Candidate will oversee organization, administration, and coordination of elements involved in the construction of a project. Applicant must possess leadership and computer skills with a heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel and an ability to oversee and manage field operations and crews, as well as have the organizational skills to set accurate timelines and tracking for all active projects, while preparing scheduling for upcoming work.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Customer and Operations involved in the execution of a project
• Manage all cost tracking and revenue reporting/forecasting for the project
• Schedule Prepare/Tie-In with contractor schedules
• Pre- planning and resource forecasting and inventory management
• Work with management for all major equipment/supply purchases
• Attend construction planning meetings and project/site walks
• Assist in quality control and safety of all projects
• Provide job site assistance to manage field operations
• Complete projects on schedule, within the allotted budget, and in accordance with QAQC standards
• Review all required reporting/collection of time and daily report logs (From operations/superintendents)
• Review/Approve/Submit all vendor and customer invoices, checking items, project info, dates, rates, etc

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Experience managing CIPP, Manhole Coatings and other types of trenchless rehabilitation construction required
• Ability to travel for both long and short-term projects

• Organized, detailed oriented and possess excellent time management and Microsoft Office skills with heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel

Salary Range

• $85,000 to 110,000, depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
