Job summary

Haugland Group, a privately owned Long Island, New York-based civil infrastructure and energy construction company, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Overhead T&D Project Manager to join our Buffalo, NY team.

We seek a self-motivated, highly organized individual to provide construction project support—submittal processing, material management, and budget analysis—while coordinating with engineering plans and finance to ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience with ERP management and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Project Management team on engineering and procedural plans, and suggest project enhancements/value engineering opportunities.
• Facilitate the change order process, prepare monthly budget analysis, and projections/cost to complete.
• Manage CPM baseline and updates.
• Manage RFIs and engineering-related inquiries.
• Ensure all project materials are approved, delivered and tracked accordingly.
• Coordinate with the finance department to prepare, review and evaluate monthly costs.
• Update and maintain the company ERP system with all current project information in the appropriate programs.

KeyFunctions:

• CoordinatewiththeProjectManagementteamonengineeringandproceduralplans,andsuggestprojectenhancements/valueengineeringopportunities.
• Facilitatethechangeorderprocess,preparemonthlybudgetanalysis,andprojections/costtocomplete.

• Bachelor’sdegreeinconstructionmanagement,ElectricalorMechanicalEngineeringpreferred(orconsiderablerelevantTradeUnionexperience).
• ExperiencewithERPmanagementandimprovements.
• ProficientintheuseofMicrosoftOfficeandstandardcomputerapplications.
• Displayahighlevelofinitiative,effort,andcommitmenttowardscompletingassignmentsinatimelymanner.
• Abilitytoidentifyproblems;determineaccuracyandrelevanceofinformation;usesoundjudgmenttogenerateandevaluatealternatives,andmakerecommendations.
• Effectivecommunicationskills,interpersonalandorganizationalskills,andastrongworkethic.
• Abilitytotravel.
