Job Summary
As RIS Rx scales rapidly, our Operations team needs a disciplined, proactive Project Manager to keep complex initiatives on track and ensure cross‑functional teams are focused on the highest‑impact work. The Project Manager will own end‑to‑end coordination of new product and program launches, serve as the primary liaison between the Operations team and the Engineering and Implementations teams, and drive rigor—checklists, accountability mechanisms, risk assessments, and structured prioritization—that turns ambitious plans into reliable launch dates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage internal project plans for complex new product and program launches, including milestone tracking, dependency mapping, risk registers, and issue escalation.
- Develop and maintain accountability and support mechanisms that ensure all stakeholders remain informed and on track.
- Triage, structure, and prioritize engineering requests from the Operations team; maintain a clear backlog, communicate trade‑offs, and advocate for the highest‑ROI work.
- Coordinate prioritization of project work across the Operations team, aligning capacity to strategic goals and proactively surfacing conflicts or bottlenecks.
- Conduct risk assessments at project inception and at key milestones; develop contingency plans and escalate issues before they become blockers.
- Facilitate cross‑functional meetings with clear agendas, documented decisions, and tracked action items; drive follow‑through to closure.
- Build and maintain project documentation standards (runbooks, SOPs, RACI matrices) to support knowledge transfer and operational consistency.
- Serve as a thought partner to Operations, Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Sales leaders on process design, resource allocation, and delivery strategy.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree; a quantitative, technical, or business‑focused field is preferred.
- 7–10 years of project or program management experience, ideally in a fast‑paced startup or technology environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross‑functional projects from initiation through closure, including launches with significant operational complexity.
- Familiarity with engineering workflows (e.g., sprint planning, backlog grooming, Jira or similar tools) and the ability to translate operational needs into clearly scoped requests.
- PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail—nothing slips through the cracks on your watch.
- Proactive by nature: you identify risks and blockers early and act before they escalat e. You act like an owner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to technical and non‑technical audiences alike.
- Structured thinker who can break ambiguous problems into clear workstreams, owners, and timelines.
- Fluent in project management best practices: checklists, RACI matrices, risk registers, status reports, retrospectives, and accountability frameworks.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple parallel workstreams without losing momentum on any of them.
- Collaborative mindset with a track record of building trust across Operations, Engineering, and Product teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Monday.com) and productivity suites (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
- Data‑driven: you define success in metrics, track performance rigorously, and make decisions backed by evidence.
