Qualifications

• At least 7 years of construction management on large-scale projects ($20M+).
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting/forecasting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Knowledge of construction law and contract management.
• Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 100%.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from design through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Prepare proposals, support pursuit presentations, and participate in contract negotiations.
• Develop and maintain accurate project financials including projections, billing, and cost control.
• Allocate project estimates into financial systems and manage cost codes and invoicing.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier selection, contract buyouts, and billing.
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers with feedback and development.
• Serve as primary client and on-site liaison to resolve concerns and build relationships.
• Manage change orders and ensure timely submission/approval.
• Ensure compliance with Mortenson’s safety, quality, and risk management standards.

Summary

Mortenson is seeking a seasoned Project Manager - OFE Manager to provide overall leadership and direction for construction projects, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, timeliness, and financial performance. This role requires a proactive, adaptable leader who can mentor teams, manage complex projects, and build strong client relationships through excellent service and communication.

• Develop and maintain accurate project financials, including projections, billing, and cost control

• Manage and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, including performance feedback and development
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and on-site representatives, resolving concerns and fostering long-term relationships

• Ensure compliance with Mortenson’s safety, quality, and risk management standards

The base pay range for this role is $132,100 MIN - $198,200 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
