  • Provide regular project communications to internal and external stakeholders, including progress, risks, timelines, and critical activities.

  • Coordinate project sequencing, schedule adjustments, and scope updates to support delivery goals.

  • Align operational support activities with client objectives and maintain clear standards, policies, and processes.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including playbooks, standards, installation guides, and project scoreboards.

  • Support project reviews and contribute recommendations for improvement and implementation follow-through.

  • Contribute to client QBR efforts and support ongoing customer satisfaction and account health.

How You Will Do It

  • Track progress against plan, communicate changes early, and keep stakeholders aligned on what matters most.

  • Use a project-controlled environment and Johnson Controls Playbook requirements to maintain discipline and visibility.

  • Measure benefits, manage risks, and apply continuous improvement with candor and practical problem-solving.

  • Work as one team by building trust, sharing information openly, and valuing diverse perspectives across functions.

  • Balance customer advocacy with the willingness to guide clients when process or scope changes are needed.

  • Support field project managers, installation managers, and technicians with mentoring, advice, and timely escalation support.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of physical security experience, including regular interaction with general contractors, property managers, and client stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of both installation and service elements of operational performance.

  • Working knowledge of MS Project or Smartsheet to maintain accurate and current project timelines for client reporting.

  • Experience managing professionals and leading project work in a complex environment with permitting and union considerations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to lead or participate in meetings representing Johnson Controls.

  • Technical exposure to enterprise-wide access control and video systems, or the ability and interest to learn these systems quickly.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adjust labor efforts to changing project demands.

  • Experience contributing to project status reviews, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

  • Project management certification or a willingness to enter the certification process if not already held.

Nice to Have
  • B.S. degree or equivalent industry experience performing functional project management in a complex physical security environment.
