Job summary

M3 Technology Group, based in Nashville, seeks a Project Manager to own AV integration projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and service for customers. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and communications across installers and engineers.

The ideal candidate has PMP or equivalent, CTS/CTS-I preferred, and a track record of managing multiple AV projects. Travel up to 30% may be required; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
  • 3 years experience in engineering, installation, or management of AV systems.
  • AVIXA CTS certification required or able to obtain within 1 year.
  • AVIXA CTS-I certification strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain understanding of project requirements and objectives.
  • Create and manage overall project schedule.
  • Oversee financial performance: labor, programming, materials, travel.
  • Lead and document communication between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate resources for equipment delivery and project needs, with client signature.
  • Manage hardware requisition to align with project timeline and returns.
  • Provide detailed work direction for Installers and Programmers; manage sub-contracts.
  • Ensure all projects comply with company policies and standards.
  • Complete project documentation and customer training.
  • Track install labor and programming time; perform job costing.
  • Manage field redlines and maintain regular attendance.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure project success.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Project Manager to take ownership and be the single point of responsibility for projects. To be successful in this role you will need to be a dependable self-starter with strong communication skills. You will be required to successfully take projects from start to finish while providing our customers with the highest level of quality and service. The ideal Project Manager will be technically adept in all facets of AV systems integration and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. You should be disciplined, patient and detail oriented. A top- notch Project Manager candidate will have an exceptional customer-first attitude and be experienced in both project management and team management.

Primary Essential Job Duties:
  • Responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of project requirements and objectives
  • Create and manage overall project schedule
  • Responsible for the financial performance of each project from a labor, programming, materials, and travel perspective
  • Lead and document all communication between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the necessary resources to meet each project's requirements including but not limited to: Securing, transporting and delivery, with client signature, of all equipment and hardware
  • The management of hardware requisition to the Project timeline/returns
  • Provide detailed work direction for Installers and Programmers for assigned Projects Manage sub-contract work according to company policy
  • Confirm that all projects comply with all Company policies, procedures, standards, and conventions
  • Responsible for ensuring project documentation is completed based on Project requirements
  • Responsible for customer training
  • Responsible for tracking install labor and programing time to assigned projects
  • Responsible for completing job costing
  • Managing redlines from the field
  • Regular and predictable attendance as scheduled
  • Work cooperatively with others

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong knowledge of audio video installation processes preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and task simultaneously
  • Travel to various job sites as needed not expected to exceed 30% of time
  • Work hours and schedule may vary according to the needs of our customers
  • Regular and predictable attendance
Education and Experience:
  • PMP certification preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3 years experience in engineering, installation, or management of AV systems preferred
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred
  • AVIXA CTS certification required or ability to obtain within 1 year of taking this position.
  • AVIXA CTS-I certification strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with appropriate driving record
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use a variety of tools
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to use computer for long periods of time
  • Be able to pass drug screen and background check
