Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation is seeking an experienced Project Manager for large-scale mission-critical construction projects in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on onsite leadership, coordinating with Superintendents, trade partners, design teams, and clients to keep projects on schedule and within budgets.

You will oversee safety, quality, procurement, contracts, and change management while guiding submittals, RFIs, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–5+ years PM experience with a general contractor onsite.
• Experience with data centers or mission-critical facilities preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage mission-critical construction projects from preconstruction through turnover.
• Maintain a consistent onsite presence and stay closely connected to daily field operations.
• Partner directly with Superintendents to manage safety, quality, sequencing, and schedule.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, design teams, and project stakeholders.
• Lead onsite OAC, subcontractor, and internal project meetings.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, contracts, buyout, and change orders.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, procurement, pay applications, and project documentation.
• Coordinate long-lead equipment, MEP systems, and critical project milestones.
• Identify field challenges early and drive practical, timely solutions.
• Support and mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers onsite.

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah / Project Site

We’re partnering with a leading national general contractor to hire an experienced Project Manager for large-scale mission-critical construction projects.

This opportunity is ideal for a field-focused PM who enjoys being onsite, working directly with Superintendents and trade partners, and solving project challenges in real time. You’ll have full visibility into daily construction activities while managing the financial, contractual, and administrative sides of the project.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5+ years of construction project management experience with a general contractor
• Experience working onsite alongside field teams and subcontractors
• Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, advanced manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, or other technically complex projects preferred
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, procurement, contracts, and change management
• Design-build experience is highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
