Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Mission Critical team in Chicago, with responsibilities spanning from preconstruction through project closeout for data center projects nationwide.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or related field.
  • 3–10 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
  • Experience leading data center or advanced manufacturing projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
  • Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to budget or schedule.
  • Collaborate with Project Superintendent on subcontractor scopes, schedule, and site logistics plan.
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors and vendors to resolve constructability and manpower issues.
  • Lead weekly/bi-weekly meetings on-site to review progress and address challenges with the client.
  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications and progress billing reports.

ARCO/Murray National Construction is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Mission Critical team in Chicago to focus on pricing and running data center construction projects nationwide. A DAY IN THE LIFE



  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout

  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget

  • Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees

  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors

  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule

  • Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan

  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues

  • Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client

  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports


NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS



  • BS in Engineering or related field

  • 3-10 years of construction management or engineering design experience

  • Previous experience leading data center or advanced manufacturing projects strongly preferred

  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

  • Typical base compensation for the Project Manager role is between $84,000.00 and $160,000.00. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.
