Job summary

Cherokee Nation Government Solutions, part of Cherokee Federal, seeks a Mid-level Project Manager to lead a contractor team onsite at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. The role requires CAC clearance and favorable DoD background checks and entails integrating AMPs and managing SRM/MILCON packages.

You will coordinate with Squadron leadership, prepare status reports, and drive investment strategies using SMS data and rigorous QA/QC practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management or equivalent from an accredited institution within the 50 United States.
• Minimum five years of project-management experience.
• Minimum three years of military facility or infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct, and evaluate contractor personnel, performance, schedules, quality-control activities, and risk-mitigation actions.
• Prepare monthly contract status reports addressing team performance, schedule adherence, QA/QC metrics, and risks.
• Integrate Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical AMPs and Sub-AMPs into a unified investment strategy.
• Develop the annual Integrated Base Activity Management Plan Summary.
• Support Work Request Review Board activities, including validation, scoring, prioritization, agendas, requirement logs, and routing decisions.
• Oversee optimization of the base preventive-maintenance program using SMS degradation data.
• Serve as primary contractor liaison to Squadron leadership and advise on asset health, funding execution, and project-programming handoffs.
• Develop, coordinate, finalize, enter, and track DD Form 1391 packages for SRM and MILCON projects.
• Convene required contract activity and status meetings and provide meeting minutes within the PWS-required timeframe.
• Support preparation of the Monthly Status Report and maintain the contractor Quality Control Plan.

Project Manager (Mid)

This position is onsite at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii (Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam), requires a CAC, and a favorable Tier 1/NACI-SF85 background investigation.

Provides overall management and quality oversight of the contractor team. Integrates all Activity Management Plans, supports infrastructure requirement prioritization, and translates Sustainment Management System data into actionable in-house and contracted project strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
• This position requires a Common Access Card (CAC), the ability to pass the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) clearance to acquire a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; may occasionally require standing or moving about the office for extended periods.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional certification.
• Experience managing Air Force Civil Engineering programs, AMP integration, SRM, MILCON, and DD Form 1391 development.
• Experience with NexGen IT, TRIRIGA, BUILDER, PAVER, and government contract quality-control processes.
