Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an MEP Project Manager to collaborate with a global manufacturing client. Bring an engineering background with strong MEP knowledge and Owner’s Representation experience to deliver complex construction and capital projects across data centers and critical infrastructure.

The role emphasizes multidisciplinary teamwork, field coordination, QA/QC, and regular reporting of progress and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing construction is beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure coordination across delivery teams.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Able to manage and delegate tasks to technical and non-technical staff.
  • Post graduate Mechanical or MEP engineering experience, design and site exposure.
  • Engineering background with strong mechanical knowledge/experience.
  • Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
  • Project Management experience or PMP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage applicable engineering drawings, specifications, and documents.
  • Effectively communicate with external and internal team members and stakeholders at all project stages.
  • Support the scheduler with updates on progress.
  • Support field coordination between the General Contractor, Commissioning Agent, and Client.
  • Undertake field walks with the General Contractor and Sub-Contractor Trades.
  • Attend field and punch walks with the architect and MEP Engineering team.
  • Help support and manage project close out documentation.
  • Ensure QA/QC is being followed and report any issues/gaps.
  • Perform quality review of technical documentation for accuracy and contract compliance.
  • Perform engineering quality assurance and engineering quality control reviews for all design drawings, prior to submission to Construction for builds.
  • Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports on the project’s progress, KPI, and progress tracking.
  • Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.
  • Identifying and ensuring that the client and management are aware of quality, safety, health and environmental issues.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for a MEP Project Manager to work with our team, and partner with a global manufacturing client.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering background with strong Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP knowledge and experience. To be successful in this role, you will be consultant minded and have experience with Owner’s Representation.

The successful candidate will bring experience supporting the delivery of construction and capital projects within one or more of Turner & Townsend's key markets, including data centers, critical infrastructure, aviation, life sciences, and energy & natural resources. Exposure to complex projects, stakeholder management, and multidisciplinary teams across these sectors is preferred.

  • Bachelor or Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field.
  • Project Management (or PMP), Engineering or a related field.
