Job description

Campion Hruby Landscape Architects is looking for an organized and skilled individual to join their Make Studio. As a Make Studio Project Manager, you will assist the Design Studio Project Managers with conducting material and vendor research, plant material procurement and tagging, drawing set review, construction oversight, project coordination and pricing efforts. This role leads day to day project level efforts in Landscape Construction Observation and Construction Management within our Make Studio.

The Make Studio Project Manager ensures that the design intent is not only preserved—but enhanced—through every phase of the build.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture preferred, Construction Administration or Construction Management background will also be considered
  • 4 to 6 Years of employment history in a landscape architecture studio or project manager environment
  • Experience in landscape construction or project management

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
  • Passion about design, exploration and research
  • The ability to work at varying scales in our profession, from the campus level to rich details
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • QA/QC of drawing sets
  • Review OPC’s (Opinion of Probable Costs)
  • Assist with the billing process
  • Aid in contractor bidding process
  • Plant selection, procurement and tagging
  • Perform planting layouts and mockup review
  • Oversee construction in accordance with CHLA drawings
  • Generate site visit reports and punch lists
  • High level communication with clients
  • Day-to-day contact for contractors
  • Some travel is required during weekdays only.
