Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Major Projects Lead to drive on-site execution of large, complex projects across North America. You will ensure safety, timely delivery, and cost-effective outcomes while coordinating with multiple internal teams and external partners.

The role requires 5+ years of field project management experience, EPC/EPCM exposure, and strong leadership across multi-cultural teams. Willingness to travel 40–60% is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of significant field-related project management experience.
• Experience in utilities, petrochem/refining, building construction or services.
• HVAC/R, electrical power generation, transmission, or distribution knowledge is a plus.
• Experience managing EPC or EPCM project teams.
• Strong focus on safety leadership (HSE).
• Strong negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Decisiveness in problem solving and prioritization.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities for multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 lbs.
• PMP or CM-Lean preferred; related certifications welcomed.
• Experience with temporary power systems, modular infrastructure, energy transition tech is preferred.

• Lead the on-site execution of complex, high-value major projects
• Ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery at the site level
• Oversee load-in, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and demobilization
• Work with the Major Projects Program Manager and Major Projects Leader to provide leadership and mentoring across the Major Projects team
• Manage complex projects using established processes, tools, and formal project management principles
• Coordinate with internal engineering and other teams on estimates, drawings, and customer quote materials
• Manage 3–5 major projects through the full project life cycle
• Plan, organize, and direct installation, commissioning, maintenance, and demobilization activities
• Serve as the primary interface with clients, contractors, client engineers, internal Engineering, vendors, and technical service representatives
• Travel 40–60% of the time across North America in varied industries and environments

Requirements

• 5+ years of significant project experience managing field-related projects
• Experience in one or more sectors: Utility, Petrochem/Refining, Building Construction and Services
• Knowledge of HVAC/R, electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution is a plus
• Experience managing EPC, EPCM, or similar integrated project teams
• Strong focus on HSE and safety leadership
• Strong negotiation skills for managing and resolving conflicts with internal and external stakeholders
• Decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities
• Strong organizational and communication skills for leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
• Ability to move or lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• PMP, CM-Lean, or similar project management certification preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar preferred
• Experience with temporary power systems, modular infrastructure, or energy transition technologies preferred
• Familiarity with Aggreko’s equipment and service offerings preferred
