Job summary

Advantage Tech in Lowell, AR is seeking an entry-level Project Manager (Low Voltage) for our National Electric Service department. The ideal candidate will bring some hands-on low-voltage foreman experience and be capable of handling office tasks and paperwork.

You will manage daily operations, oversee the five phases of the project lifecycle, coordinate resources, prepare bid sheets, order materials, perform quality and safety audits, and provide weekly forecasting and reports while maintaining

Qualifications

  • Entry-level PM in Low Voltage with some office/paperwork experience.
  • Experience in low-voltage fields (CAT5, telecom, fiber, construction, or structure cabling IT) is a plus.
  • Proficient with computers, including email, spreadsheets, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operational tasks.
  • Perform daily project management operations through all five phases of the project life cycle; initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and closeout.
  • Responsible for hiring and assigning resources.
  • Create bid sheets and contractual proposals for small projects.
  • Order all materials and equipment for projects.
  • Perform quality and safety audits to ensure the quality of all materials and equipment.
  • Provide weekly and monthly financial forecasting and revenue projection reports.
  • Provide logistical project support by coordinating a site time frame with both the customer and the technicians.
  • Create routes for several weeks for each technician's deployment.
  • Create and maintain project files.
  • Manage project scheduling and billing.
  • Manage the process of sourcing, evaluating, and estimating selected bid opportunities.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and professionalism.
  • Travel to customer locations to provide additional technical training, perform site walks, surveys, updates, and build rapport with the clients.
  • Oversee the day-to-day communication with customers, essentially representing the face of Wachter.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, customers, technicians, sales team, other departments, upper management, engineers, etc.
  • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
  • Adhere to all requirements as set forth by the Company and OSHA.

Requirements:
  • Experience in any of the following fields is a plus: CAT5, Telecommunications, Fiber, Construction, or Structure Cabling IT.
  • Experience working with engineered drawings, bid specifications, and construction take-offs.
  • Proficient with the use of computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
