Job summary

RK&K is seeking a motivated Land Development Project Manager to join our Richmond, VA office. Lead land and site development projects, oversee teams, and coordinate with clients while ensuring quality and schedule compliance.

This leadership role offers relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus. Eligible for RK&K's annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer registration (VA PE or ability to obtain) preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive land development design/engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management of land development tasks including scope, budget and schedule.
• Coordinate with clients to discuss progress and obtain direction.
• Lead project teams and sub consultants; review engineering documents for QC.
• Facilitate internal and client meetings and plan approvals.

Job description

Due to continued growth and expansion, RK&K is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Development Project Manager to join our team and support our Richmond, VA office. In this leadership role, you will manage land and site development projects of varying sizes throughout the Richmond metropolitan area and Central Virginia, while providing leadership and direction to project teams. For qualified candidates, this position is eligible for relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus. In addition, employees are eligible to participate in RK&K's annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

Essential Functions

• Provide project management of project and/or major task assignments including preparation and monitoring of scope, budget and schedule
• Coordinate with clients to discuss progress and obtain feedback and direction
• Perform engineering tasks; provide engineering direction to staff
• Organize project teams, direct project staff and sub consultants
• Review and certify engineering documents to meet quality control goals and standards of care
• Lead community outreach tasks
• Serves as primary or secondary liaison with client
• Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering required
• Professional Engineering registration required: (Preferred VA PE or ability to obtain one)
• Involvement in industry and networking groups preferred
• Minimum of eight (8) (10 years preferred) of progressive site (land) development design and engineering experience in the public and private sectors
• Experience managing staff and regularly interacting with clients
• Experience preparing proposals & add services for changes in scope of work
• Expert knowledge of permit processes in authorities having jurisdiction
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint; Expertise in AutoCAD C3D
• Experience with AutoDesk Hydraflow, HydroCAD, Storm & Sanitary Analysis preferred
