Job summary

Miracorp is seeking a Project Manager IV to lead complex, high-value design and construction projects for government facilities. You will oversee planning, design, construction, commissioning, and occupancy, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with codes, life safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture or 10 years of related project experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems.
  • Knowledge of PM principles, scheduling, cost estimating, and reading construction documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with customers, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple high-value projects.
  • Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management and estimating software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple large-scale construction and renovation projects, including scope development, cost estimating, scheduling, procurement coordination, and contractor oversight.
  • Prepare Project Management Plans, establish project milestones, track progress, and ensure compliance with codes, life safety, sustainability, and QA expectations.
  • Serve as the on-site project manager or inspector, performing field oversight, resolving complex construction issues, and ensuring contract conformance and budget.
  • Review and approve design documents, submittals, progress evaluations, and invoices; coordinate with A/E firms, contractors, and customer agencies.
  • Provide technical expertise on building systems, workmanship quality, environmental regulations, and construction best practices.
  • Facilitate project meetings, maintain stakeholder communication, and support a collaborative team environment with acquisition, financial, and program staff.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure projects are delivered on scope, on schedule, and on budget.
  • Travel to project sites for inspections and tech evaluations as required.

Position Summary

The Project Manager IV leads complex, high-value design and construction projects for government facilities, overseeing all phases from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and occupancy. The role manages customer expectations, project scope, budget, and schedule while providing technical expertise on building systems, codes, life safety, and quality assurance. The incumbent serves as the on‑site project manager, resolves field issues, and ensures successful project delivery through strong coordination with internal teams, A/E firms, contractors, and customer agencies.

Essential Functions
  • Manage multiple large‑scale construction and renovation projects, including scope development, cost estimating, scheduling, procurement coordination, and contractor oversight.
  • Prepare Project Management Plans, establish project milestones, track progress, and ensure compliance with governing codes, life safety requirements, sustainability standards, and quality assurance expectations.
  • Serve as the on‑site project manager or inspector, performing daily field oversight, resolving complex construction issues, and ensuring work meets contract requirements and budget constraints.
  • Review and recommend approval of design documents, construction submittals, progress evaluations, and invoices; coordinate with A/E firms, contractors, contracting specialists, and customer agencies.
  • Provide technical expertise on building systems, workmanship quality, environmental regulations, and construction best practices.
  • Facilitate project meetings, maintain strong stakeholder communication, and support a collaborative team environment with acquisition, financial, and program staff.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; and/or ten years of experience managing design and construction projects.
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems, with the ability to solve complex technical and project challenges.
  • Proficiency in project management principles, construction scheduling, cost estimating, reading and interpreting construction documents, and writing scopes of work and specifications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with customers, acquisition staff, contractors, financial managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple high‑value projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management and estimating software.
