Job summary

UNICON is seeking a Project Manager IT in Torrance, CA to lead one or more Application Development projects onsite. The role requires extensive IT project experience, strong Agile/Waterfall skills, and collaboration across multiple teams to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes.

The position emphasizes leadership in budget forecasting, stakeholder communication, risk management, and vendor coordination within an automotive-focused environment. A proactive, autonomous approach is valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years managing Application Development projects.
• 10+ years IT work experience.
• Experience in the Automotive industry is a plus.
• SAFe Agile and Scrum Master experience is a must.
• Ability to manage a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects and forecast budget/schedule.
• Organize IT/Business meetings and workshops.
• Develop business cases and document project goals, tasks and resources.
• Create and manage change requests, test plans and training material.
• Report on project status weekly, monthly, quarterly.
• Create presentations for upper management.
• Analyze risks/issues and manage them.
• Create SOWs and manage vendors.
• Assign and manage project tasks/resources.

Position Overview

Manage multiple projects; Forecast, plan and manage budget/schedule to ensure project is on track; Organize and facilitate IT/Business meetings and workshops; Develop business cases and document project goals, required tasks and resources; Create and manage change requests, test plans and training material; Report on project status (weekly, monthly, quarterly and J-Events); Create project & upper level management presentations; Analyze and manage project risks/issues; Create SOWs and manage vendors; Assign & manage project tasks/resources; Coordinate with other contributing areas in the enterprise.

What You Will Be Doing

This person will work on one or more Application Development projects for the Automobile Sales and Logistics area.

Whats Needed

8+ years managing Application Development projects, 10+ years of IT work experience; Experience in the Automotive industry; Business System Analyst or application development experience is a plus; SAFe Agile and Scrum Master experience is a must. Ability to manage a hybrid environment of Agile and Waterfall development; Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines across the enterprise; Ability to work on multiple projects; Proficient in Clarity/Open Workbench and MS Project, MS Office; Has a positive attitude & works well in autonomy and ambiguity; Excellent communications skills both written and oral.
