Job summary

Baranko Companies is seeking a Project Manager Intern for the 2027 summer season. You will join the Heavy Highway/Civil team and gain hands-on experience managing projects across earthwork, trucking, oilfield, power plant, and heavy highway construction.

You will assist with bidding, planning, scheduling, documentation, and financial reporting while collaborating with engineers and managers to deliver on time and within budget. Office-based with weekly site visits.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or recent graduate in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, finance, business, or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Willing to work in an office setting with weekly visits to job sites.

You will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals and gain hands‑on experience in managing projects across a variety of sectors, including earthwork, trucking, oilfield, power plant, and heavy highway construction.

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Assist in the bidding, planning, scheduling, and coordination of projects from conception to completion.
• Assist with maintaining project files and documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status.
• Assist in the preparation of project pay estimates, job costing, and financial reports.
• Review project designs and specifications to identify potential issues.
