Job summary

Welltower is seeking an independent Field Inspector to oversee CapEx and Redevelopment projects across its senior living and multifamily portfolio. The role ensures quality workmanship, adherence to design standards, and accurate reporting that informs executive leadership.

You will conduct inspections, audit plans and budgets, document findings with photos, and drive continuous improvement while supporting operator feedback on disruptions. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Construction Management or related field highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience within the seniors housing or multi‑family industries.
• Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Welltower’s Capital Expenditures (CapEx) and Redevelopment pipeline continues to expand, encompassing thousands of projects each year across a broad and geographically diverse portfolio of assets. This role is designed to provide independent field-based oversight to ensure project quality, consistency, and adherence to Welltower’s design and construction standards. By validating workmanship, materials, and project schedules, this position helps maintain operational excellence and supports Welltower’s commitment to delivering best-in-class environments across its portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Inspectors will serve as an independent, field-based quality and compliance resource reporting directly VP of Capital. The related reports will be available to the GVP, the Head of Asset Management, the COO and the CFO.

• Audit project plans, schedules and budgets against field conditions.
• Provide photographic documentation and standardized inspection reports for leadership review.
• Validate workmanship, materials and adherence to Welltower design standards.
• Identify trends in recurring issues and recommend process improvements and accountability measures to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support Operator feedback loops to address staff/resident disruptions and concerns.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management or related field highly preferred.
