A local manufacturing company, in business for over 70 years, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager / Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This role combines project management, inside sales, and product estimating by coordinating customer projects from quotation through production and delivery. Working closely with engineering and production, the successful candidate will ensure projects are quoted accurately, managed efficiently, and delivered to customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts, providing exceptional customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to grow existing business.
• Manage projects from quotation through order entry, production, shipment, and delivery.
• Coordinate with customer service, sales, design, production, purchasing, and logistics to ensure project requirements are communicated and executed effectively.
• Set up product specifications in the system based on drawings and information provided by the design and production departments.
• Learn and understand manufacturing capabilities and limitations as they relate to product specifications and customer requirements.
• Understand the costs incorporated into each product and assist in evaluating pricing to ensure accurate and competitive quotations.
• Maintain communication with production supervisors to obtain feedback that assists with accurate costing, scheduling, and project execution.
• Provide accurate quotes to customers and the sales team while recommending cost-effective alternatives that help secure business.
• Update pricing and product information within the company systems as needed.
• Learn and understand products and materials purchased from a variety of vendors.
• Obtain vendor quotations and coordinate with purchasing to ensure material availability and competitive pricing.
• Understand quality standards and how they impact product costs and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor project schedules and proactively resolve issues that could impact delivery or customer expectations.
• Maintain accurate customer records, project documentation, pricing, and order information.
• Support the outside sales team with quotations, project updates, product information, and customer follow-up.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education & Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in project management, inside sales, estimating, customer service, manufacturing, purchasing, or account management is preferred.
