Job summary

Belimo is seeking a Project Manager - Product Industrialization to drive industrialization efforts across product lifecycles, linking R&D and Operations. You will coordinate supply chain strategy, material flow, and cross-functional teams, ensuring costs, timelines, and logistics meet objectives.

As Lead Supply Chain, you will lead a team including Lead Make, Lead Equipment, Lead Planning, and Lead Sourcing, and ensure alignment with PCP/PPC processes.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical).
  • Further education in project management (certification is a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in product development and industrialization of devices and/or development of supply chain strategy.
  • 3+ years of interdisciplinary project management within a company manufacturing mass-produced goods.
  • Experience with task & project management tools (e.g. Sciforma, Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience with supply chain management/strategy development.
  • Experience in device development, device manufacturing, and the development of manufacturing equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain design and implementation across projects and product life cycle, embedding all inputs into a structured decision-making process
  • Lead industrialization as a core team member in product creation projects representing Lead Supply Chain (Industrialization) goals
  • Serve as project manager for lifecycle projects, owning the planning, management, deliverables, and CAPEX in the project
  • Consult with Innovation & PMO in the product creation process as well as to the supply chain steering committee
  • Lead and motivate the Industrialization project team consisting of the roles Lead Make, Lead Equipment, Lead Planning, and Lead Sourcing
  • Perform supply chain feasibility, gap, and risk analyses
  • Define and implement the supply chain concept and strategy for the project
  • Enable footprint decisions (regions/plants), including make-or-buy and single-vs-multiple sourcing, based on interdisciplinary alignment
  • Structure products, regions, and volumes from a broad strategy and translate them into optimized product architecture and variant trees
  • Define project stakeholder requirements and architectural drivers to guide product engineering
  • Influence product design based on supply chain capabilities
  • Validate product concepts (mock-ups) and product designs (prototypes) against supply chain requirements
  • Plan and validate allocation of production and customization capacities
  • Create the end-to-end product journey with input from Lead Make resources
  • Oversee supplier selection within project for components and modules including requirements to suppliers
  • Define requirements for processes, equipment, and quality in manufacturing with input from respective teams
  • Involve packaging engineering for end-to-end packaging and labeling
  • Lead the ramp-up of production capacities (materialization) across internal and external suppliers (incl. alpha-, beta- & pilot-series builds)
  • Lead or support other activities of the manufacturing engineering roadmap (cost optimization, automation, transfers, integration)

Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The base pay for this position ranges from $95,000 - $110,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 15% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. Belimo is a total compensation company which includes a comprehensive benefits package including a full range of medical, financial, and other competitive benefits.
