Project Manager- Industrial/Cold Storage

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to lead cold storage and food & beverage construction projects. This role involves managing high-performance, temperature-controlled environments supporting food manufacturing, distribution, and logistics across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead all phases of industrial construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and client communication.
2. Coordinate between architects, engineers, subcontractors, and owners to ensure alignment on scope, design, and execution.
3. Manage subcontractor buyouts, contract negotiations, and change management processes.
4. Monitor schedule and cost performance, proactively identifying risks and resolving issues.
5. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, food safety standards (USDA, FDA), and internal quality protocols.
6. Support commissioning and project closeout, ensuring documentation accuracy.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years managing construction projects in cold storage, food, or beverage industries.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams on complex builds involving refrigeration and hygienic systems.
• Proficient in scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and food-grade construction.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• Willing to travel for project assignments if not based in Chicago.

Preferred:

• Experience managing field and office teams across multiple locations.
• Familiarity with design-build and fast-track schedules.
• Background in commissioning cold storage or automation systems.
