Job summary

Catamount is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the financial success of building projects, working with Architects, Engineers, and Owners to ensure plans meet budget and scope.

You will manage contract specifics, document changes, and maintain key logs while coordinating buyouts and schedule updates with the Superintendent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five years of related experience with a General Contractor.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and contract administration.
• Experience with project documentation and logs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong understanding of the contract from the project onset.
• Document updates accurately and maintain logs and changes.
• Use negotiation skills to establish purchasing plans and make timely decisions during buyout.
• Support the Superintendent in project scheduling and maintaining schedule.
• Create and maintain relationships with project owner and act on their needs with urgency.
• Facilitate owner, architect, and contractor meetings, generating agendas and minutes.
• Submit owner pay applications correctly and timely.
• Maintain open communication with subcontractors.
• Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders.
• Ensure conformity with contract documents and address performance issues.
• Lead the project team and support everyone involved.

RoleOverview:

OurProjectManagersoverseethefinancialsuccessofthebuildingprocess,workinginpartnershipwithArchitects,Engineers,andOwnerstosupportthedevelopmentoftheplans.Theyidentifyandplanallthemovingparts,andareresponsibleforensuringtheprojectiscompletedonbudgetandwithinscope.

Role&Responsibilities:

• Maintainastrongunderstandingofthecontractfromtheprojectonset
• Staycurrentduringtheconstructionprocessbyaccuratelydocumentingprojectupdates,aswellasmaintainingnumerouslogsanddocumentingchangesasneeded
• Usingstrongnegotiationskills,establishestheappropriatepurchasingplan,andmakessolidandtimelydecisionsforthecompanyandtheprojectduringthebuyoutprocess
• SupporttheSuperintendent,whoistheprimarypersonresponsiblefortheprojectschedule,postthemonthlyschedule,andtakeappropriateactiontomaintainorimproveschedulewheneverpossible
• Creatingandmaintainingrelationshipswiththeprojectownerandactingontheirbehalf,thinkproactively,andhandletheirneedswithasenseofurgencyandinatimelymanner.
• FacilitateOwner,Architect,andContractormeetings,generatingagendaandminutes
• Submitownerpayapplicationscorrectlyandtimely
• Maintainopencommunicationwithsubcontractors
• Reviewandapprovesubcontractorinvoicesandchangeorders,andprocesschangeordersasnecessary
