Job summary

ICMS is seeking a full-time Project Manager for the Dallas region with a minimum of 5 years in aviation construction management. Prior terminal and concourse construction experience is a plus.

The role oversees field construction administration and management engineering services to ensure projects meet drawings, specifications, budget, and schedule. Responsibilities include leading a CM team, managing RFI processes, scope development, and liaising with contractors and AHJ.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of aviation construction management experience.
  • Experience in terminal and concourse construction is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, establish work plans and priorities to meet schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a CM team including PMs and CM staff.
  • Review/update CM procedures/processes as needed.
  • Manage tendering RFI process and issue Addenda.
  • Assist with change management and scope development.
  • Liaise between contractors/end users and AHJ.
  • Verify mobilization schedules and approve contractual requirements.
  • Maintain project schedules including design review, procurement and construction.
  • Review QA/QC and logistics plans and ensure contract standards are met.
  • Monitor environmental compliance with Environmental Officer and ETAM.
  • Ensure safety programs, conduct meetings, and prepare high-level minutes.

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionICMS is seeking full-time Project Managers in the Dallas Region. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 year’s experience in aviation construction management and oversite. Previous experience in terminal and concourse construction is a plus. The ideal candidate possesses experience in project management, documentation, as well as experience working with the contractor to verify that construction is in general conformance with plans and specifications. Candidate must be able to work independently on assignments and establish work plan and priorities to meet project schedules. The job description is below as follows:

Project Manager

Responsible for coordination and monitoring of overall field construction administration activities and/or management engineering services on projects of a diverse nature in accordance with design specifications to assure that construction projects are completed in compliance with the drawings and specifications, within budget, and on schedule. In absence of the Construction Project Manager, serves as the senior company representative at the construction site with responsibility for ensuring that construction proceeds in accordance with design and contractual documents.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing an extensive CM team that includes, as needed and approved by DFW, construction project managers and other CM support staff. Varies extensively depending on the degree of DFW construction contract oversight activity.
  • Reviewing and recommending updates/expansion of existing CM procedures/processes.
  • Managing the tendering RFI process and responsible for approval and issuance of any Addenda.
  • Assist with change management & scope development.
  • Liaison between contractors/End users and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).
  • Verifying the construction contractors’ mobilization schedules including recommendations to Senior PM for approval of contractual requirements before issuance of Notice to Proceed.
  • Managing the preparation, updating and maintaining general project work schedule(s) as required. This will include an overall schedule and/or individual schedules, as required, to track design review activities, procurement activities and construction activities.
  • Reviewing and approving contractors’ Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and Logistics plan(s).
  • Managing quality services related to oversight and supervision of construction contractors’ quality control services, including, at a minimum, confirmation that the standards required by the contract are met.
  • Reviewing, adapting as necessary, and monitoring construction safety programs.
  • Leading periodic construction meetings, and additional meetings if needed, to resolve issues impacting cost and schedule.
  • Recording, preparing and distributing high level meeting minutes and reviewing with Project manager and Senior Project Manager.
  • Working with DFW’s Environmental Officer and other entities like ETAM to monitor compliance with all environmental requirements.
  • Overseeing construction monitoring and associated reporting as required to confirm Contractor compliance with the contract requirements.
  • Ensures that project site and company assets are secure and maintain a safe and respectful working environment at all times by implementing programs for safety and loss prevention, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), risk management, training, and quality control.
  • Provides input to monthly pay-Application reviews so the Senior PM/PM can finalize the billing.
  • Review Daily Construction Reports and weekly work plans to achieve schedule compliance.
