Job summary

Hill Physicians Medical Group is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives within healthcare IT environments. You will plan, scope, and drive project plans, collaborating with Senior Leadership and diverse teams to deliver outcomes tied to strategic objectives.

Responsibilities include managing complex projects, adhering to PM methodologies, and mentoring others pursuing PMP certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in project leadership, including management of complex projects.
• Masters or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Certifications PMP
• Excellent proven analytical, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Healthcare and technology services experience required.
• Project Management Certification and uses it to mentor others who are studying for their certifications.

Responsibilities

• Manages small project team(s) to meet objectives of projects that are limited in scope, risk, and / or organization span; or leads one or more subprojects within a large, complex project.
• Organizes and guides project operations through adherence to standard project management methodologies.
• Manages project that are complex in scope, risk, and/or organizational span.
• Provides feedback and participates in the continuous improvement of the project management process.
• Champion of organizational learning and drives the group’s ability to improve (e.g. Centre of Excellence participation, improving best practices, network facilitation, and as instructor, reviewer and mentor).

Job Description

Under the leadership of the Manager, Project Delivery, a Project Manager is responsible for planning and managing project objectives and driving the project plan through capturing project scope, facilitating solution development, collaborating with departmental and Senior / Executive Leadership, and leading team members using standard project management methodologies and tools. The Project Manager may be assigned to cross‑functional projects or to projects where initial requirements are not well understood.

Specialization

Candidate should have working knowledge of healthcare information technology (IT) and tools. Working knowledge of Healthcare business processes and procedures are highly desirable.
