Job summary

Uft in Sacramento is seeking an experienced Project Manager for water and wastewater projects. This role involves managing complex projects independently, ensuring on-time and within budget completion, and requiring significant project management expertise.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in the industry, a deep understanding of Power Distribution, and a bachelor’s degree in construction management. PMP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience in construction or water/wastewater industry.
• Deep understanding of Power Distribution and I&C.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Project Manager – Water and Wastewater

• Execute large, complex projects independently within the water and wastewater industry.
• Manage the full scope of projects, including change control, schedule, budget, and risk.
• Implement change control measures to manage modifications in project scope effectively.
• Monitor and control project progress to ensure on‑time and within budget completion.
• Investigate potential critical situations and take corrective actions proactively.
• Represent the company in project meetings and strategic sessions.
• Interpret and communicate plans and contract terms to administrative staff, customers, and end‑users.
• Prepare detailed reports on work progress, costs, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience within construction, water/wastewater industry, and/or system integration.
• Deep understanding of Power Distribution and I&C.
• Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements.
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner; written and verbal.
• Represent the company responsibly.
• Regularly attend formal training, review journals, publications, and other valuable resources to continuously develop knowledge of current technologies.
• Understanding of manufacturing workflow, including planning activities.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in construction management.
• PMP certification.
