We are currently looking for a Project Manager III to join our Project Management team located at our headquarters in Granite City, IL. Our ideal candidate will lead all aspects of large and complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful execution of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
Primary responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring work is completed in accordance with contract requirements, project specifications, approved submittals, and quality standards.
- Manage document control, project communication, and coordination efforts across engineering, operations, quality, commissioning, and field teams.
- Lead subcontractor management activities, including scope alignment, contract administration, schedule coordination, and change management.
- Direct safety planning, inspections, audits, and high-risk construction activities, holding subcontractors, vendors, and project personnel accountable for maintaining safe work practices and achieving safety objectives.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, manpower planning, labor productivity tracking, workforce forecasting, and recovery strategies.
- Oversee procurement strategies, subcontract administration, equipment rentals, and major purchasing decisions.
- Review financial reports, identify potential risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions to achieve project goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, design teams, and key project stakeholders while maintaining client relationships.
Primary qualifications
- 5+ years as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or proven working experience in Construction Management is required.
- Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, building products, construction details/design, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards is preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Viewpoint, ProCore, and BlueBeam.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and construction practices to effectively interpret project documents and support successful project delivery.
- Familiarity with construction management software packages; overall strong computer skills is preferred.
- Working knowledge of P6 or Microsoft Project and willingness to learn.
- Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Self‑motivated with excellent time and project management skills.

- Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while being required to multi‑task with changing priorities.
- Able to work with groups and utilize individual strengths, diverse skills, and perspectives of team members to reach common goals.

Compensation and Benefits
